Attendance and Cancellation Policy:

Thank you for choosing playSense, Inc., to be part of your child’s care. The following policies allow us to work together to best serve your child’s needs, the needs of your family, and optimize your child’s progress. Your acknowledgment at the end of these policies indicates your agreement and acceptance of the terms set forth herein. 

In consideration of playSense's permission for your child's participation in, and use of, playSense's services, you hereby agree to the following terms: 

Regular attendance is crucial to ensure successful outcomes in therapy. Children are most successful with clear and familiar routines. We are unable to extend your child’s session beyond what is scheduled. Please be available at the end of your child’s session to make full use of the time set aside to focus on your child.   

  • Cancellation Allowance: Clients are allowed up to 1 late/no-show cancellation per trimester. These cancellations will not incur any charges.

    • Trimester Dates:

      • January 1-April 30

      • May 1-August 31

      • September 1-December 31

  • A late cancellation is any cancellation made between 2 hours to 48 hours from the scheduled appointment. Late cancellations incur a late charge of 50% of the session cost.

  • A no-show cancellation is any cancellation that occurs within 2 hours of the appointment or a missed appointment without notification. No show cancellations incur a late charge of 100% of the session cost.

  • Attendance policy: We understand that illness and vacations occur. Excessive absences not only impact your child’s progress, but they also have an impact on the quality of our care. We are unable to hold your regularly scheduled hour without incurring cancellation charges. Following 3 consecutive cancellations, you will be notified that you may be placed on a waitlist.

  • Family participation enhances therapeutic goals and allows intervention practices to carry into everyday life; thus, magnifying the impact of therapy. We recognize that each family member will have their own way of participating in a manner that feels the most comfortable.
