Meet Our Team
As a licensed pediatric occupational therapist has led individual and group sessions in a variety of settings including clinics, preschools, schools (K – 12th grade), homes and in the community. In 2000, she earned her Doctoral and Master’s degrees in Occupational Therapy at the University of Southern California. She further pursued advanced training in sensory integration, which she uses to guide her therapeutic approach and treatment planning.
Audrey believes in meeting children where they are on a given day and working with their unique strengths and interests in the context of play to reach their goals. She has earned both her Doctoral and Master’s degrees in Occupational Therapy from Thomas Jefferson University in PA and San Jose State University in CA. She loves collaborating with families and educating them about the relationship between sensory integration and a child’s performance in daily activities. Audrey is passionate about helping children of all abilities reach their full potential and thrive.
Nidia is passionate about helping the process at playSense go as seamlessly as possible, not only for the children who visit but their families. As a South Bay native, Nidia attended El Camino and CSU Dominguez Hills. She has spent her career working in the healthcare field from providing in-home care to the elderly, assisting families with loved ones that are suffering from Alzheimer's/dementia, working with those who have cerebral palsy to managing patient care for the injured in personal injuries accidents. In her spare time, Nidia enjoys volunteering at different organizations such as School on Wheels, figuring out her fantasy lineup, and spending time with her family.
Jillian received her Master's and Doctorate degrees from the University of Southern California and has completed courses toward continuing education certification in Sensory Integration. During her fieldwork experiences and doctoral residency, Jillian quickly recognized her passion for working with the pediatric population as children are a bright light in our world with their creativity and playfulness! She is driven to support participation in meaningful activities and put the fun into functional! Born and raised in South Torrance, she enjoys spending her free time near the beach. Some of her favorite occupations include walking her dogs, running, and spending time with family and friends.
Rebecca has enjoyed working with children across many ages and settings. She champions individual growth by fostering a creative, playful and trusting relationship with children and their families in order to help kids achieve their goals. Rebecca’s calm and approachable personality supports dynamic collaboration between child, therapist, and family. Rebecca strives to provide a fun and engaging experience at the core of each interaction with her clients. She earned her Master’s degree in occupational therapy from CSU Dominguez Hills and has experience working with children and youth populations in clinics, schools, and community settings. In her free time, Rebecca loves to go camping, garden, and play with her 3 kids - be that riding bikes or dreaming up fun adventures at the park.
Arianna is passionate about working with children of all ages and helping them grow and feel supported in the therapy process. Arianna received her Doctorate of Occupational Therapy degree from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston. Arianna completed her fieldwork in school-based occupational therapy and has volunteered in other pediatric occupational therapy settings, including an outpatient pediatrics clinic and a summer camp at a temporary housing facility. In her free time, Arianna loves to hike, travel, cook, and spend time with her family and friends.
Amanda enjoys working with children of all ages, allowing their unique strengths and interests to shine. She strives to build individual relationships with each child and their families to ensure a collaborative approach. She earned her Master’s degree in occupational therapy from California State University Dominguez Hills and completed her fieldwork at a pediatric clinic utilizing a sensory integration approach. Amanda is passionate about serving the South Bay community through volunteerism and her favorite occupations include hiking, golfing, reading, and spending time at the beach with her friends and family.
Maytal Shvartz, OTD, OTR/L has a captivating spirit that provides children with a creative, motivating and effective therapeutic experience. She earned a Clinical Doctorate and Master's degree in occupational therapy from the University of Southern California and has professional training and experience in Sensory Integration, Pediatric Mental Health and DIR Floortime techniques. In addition, she has worked as a school-based occupational therapist. Maytal is passionate about utilising her own favorite occupation - play - in order to make a positive and lifelong impact on the lives of the children and families that she works with.
